History

Originally in December, 1989, Euro-Trend was established as a co-operative “Euro-Trend, výrobní družstvo” because a co-operative was at that time the only possible framework for doing private business by more than one person. The Euro-Trend firm was registered in the Commercial Register on January 19th 1990.

In 1994, a business company of the same name was established, taking the form of a limited liability company – “Euro-Trend, s.r.o.” Mr. Jiří Nekovář, the founder, has been the majority owner and the chief executive of the company since the time of its establishment.

Later, due to the dynamic development of private business in the Czech Republic and the search for new business possibilities led Euro-Trend, s.r.o. to fast diversification of activities and to the establishment of new firms. During the next several years, the original company Euro-Trend, s.r.o. had transformed into a group of firms which we unofficially call the Euro-Trend Group.

In 1993, the joint stock company “Katnek Securities, a.s.“ was established and in the same year, Katnek became a member of the Stock Exchange Praha, a.s. Until the year 1999, when it changed its object of business, it was well known as a successful broker in securities. Currently, Katnek Securities, a.s., uses its broad experience from previous activities and specializes in economic consulting.

Two years later, Katnek was complemented by the limited liability consulting company “ZVP-investiční poradenství, s.r.o.”
